Similac Total Comfort vs Alimentum: Which is Safe For Your Baby?

Here is my Similac Total Comfort vs Alimentum comparison. In each case, I will look at the ingredient in each formula and its availability. One way your little one will tell you they feel discomfort is through crying or at times your baby becomes fussier. The formula you feed your baby could cause discomfort. The formula may contain ingredients that could cause stomach upset to your toddler.

Most of the times I see new moms find it hard to choose between baby formulas, especially when the formulas are by the same brand. While Alimentum and Total Comfort are formulas from the same manufacturer, the difference in their ingredient composition could be the thin line between a fussy baby and “total comfort” baby. Let have a look at the comparison.

In this context- (don’t quote me wrong please), there are two types of babies-# the normal baby and the allergic baby. (Like I said, don’t quote me wrong – I want to make sure you get this comparison right.

Similac Alimentum baby formula: is a hypoallergenic and highly nutritious formula. It’s designed for infants with food allergies/protein sensitivity and colic. The formula comprises of predigested milk protein that has been broken down to eliminate allergic reactions to babies who are allergic to cow milk protein.

In layman’s- Alimentum proteins are broken down into almost like a sifted powder while Similac total comfort proteins are broken down to cookie crumbles sizes.

Final Thoughts On Similac Total Comfort Vs Alimentum

There you have it, fellow moms, if your baby is protein sensitive or lactose sensitive, then Alimentum formula is the way to go. However, if your little ones aren’t sensitive to the two ingredients but it’s fussy, Similac Total Comfort is the way to go.
